Official Agrarian Credit Corporation program for preferential short-term lending to livestock and feedlot producers.
In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and with the support of the Government, a new financing program aimed at supporting livestock development has been launched by the ‘Baiterek’ National Managing Holding and JSC “Agrarian Credit Corporation”. The new program provides loans to agricultural producers to replenish working capital.
The program primarily focuses on financing the purchase of cattle and small ruminants, feed, as well as fuels and lubricants, spare parts for specialized equipment, and machinery for feedlot farms. Under the program’s terms, at least 70% of the loan amount must be allocated to the purchase of livestock. The total amount of financing for 2025 will be approximately 50 billion tenge. The interest rate under this program is 5% per annum. Loans are issued for a period of up to 12 months.
Enterprises whose main activity is cattle and sheep fattening and that possess the necessary production infrastructure are eligible to participate in the program. Livestock purchased under the program must be registered in the animal identification information system and must meet the established age and weight requirements. Borrowers are required to maintain records of animal inflow and outflow in both the Animal Identification System and the Selection and Breeding Information Database.
JSC “Agrarian Credit Corporation” continues to expand its range of financial instruments in the agro-industrial sector, aimed at developing sustainable livestock farming and ensuring the country’s food security. For more information, visit www.agrocredit.kz or call the contact center at 5353.
